We have a role you will find interesting.At Amazon Web Services (AWS), Demo Engineers in the Technical Product Marketing team work backwards from their understanding of customer and field requirements as well as their deep experience in various different AWS capabilities and services to build a range of different demo assets (e.g. live, recorded videos, click-through, etc.,) that help us show our customers (rather than tell them) the value proposition of our offerings. In this role you will leverage your experience as a technologist who has worked directly with customers and developers, and work with product teams and other marketing colleagues and “join the dots” to determine what the best demos are that we can build for a range of scenarios, products, and use cases. The demo assets you build will be used in a variety of different venues (e.g. on our website, by our field teams in direct customer engagements, at tradeshows, during keynote presentations, etc.)AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. Demos will incorporate various different sets of these services and capabilities (including Analytics, Developer Tools, Compute, Databases, Generative AI, Observability, Security) – and you’ll also have a chance to get hands-on with new offerings while they are being developed, so that when we launch a new offering we can show it to our customers in the most powerful way possible.We are looking for builders who have experience working with customers and developers, and in using our services directly to build prototypes or solutions. In particular we are looking for individuals who can work with a number of different technologies, come up to speed quickly on new services, and iterate rapidly so that we can build a wide range of demos that can help our customers understand how our offerings can provide meaningful value to them.This role can sit in any of the following locations: East Palo Alto, CA, USA | New York, NY, USA | San Francisco, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA Relocation to these locations only from within the USA only.Key job responsibilities• Partner with field and marketing teams to guide prioritization of the catalog of demo assets that we need• Creation of high-quality demo artifacts that will show our offerings, and how they work, to customers in the most compelling way• Enable others to deliver the best demos to customers (including enabling others to self-service)• Involvement in the generation of content artifacts (presentations, demos, etc.) that can be leveraged broadly to educate customers on our offerings• Working closely with other AWS teams to ensure these what we build gets used broadly and in the right places (e.g. website, field engagements, AWS Summits, other AWS sales and marketing channels)A day in the lifeAbout AWSDiverse ExperiencesAWS values diverse experiences. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve in the cloud.About the teamSales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.Basic Qualifications• 7+ years experience working directly with customers on adoption of cloud-based products and services• 7+ years working knowledge cloud-based architectures in one or more technical domains (e.g. Analytics, Developer Tools, Compute, Databases, Generative AI, Observability, Security, etc.)• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications• Strong verbal and written communications skills• Experience delivering technical presentations and demos in public forums• Ability to write and present content to a technical audience• Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or other cloud platforms• A passion for learning and for helping others to learn• Hands-on experience with AWS• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification• Prior Technical Product Marketing experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $277,700/year in our highest geographic market.
