Authorization Specialist I (Remote Missouri)Position Purpose:Assist with administrative care management tasks, including outreach, inbound call handling, and service scheduling. Act as a liaison for members, providers, and staff, resolving issues and documenting records according to state and regulatory guidelines.Education/Experience:+ High School diploma or GED required+ 1-2 years of related experience preferred+ Strong data entry skills (60 wpm) and customer service aptitude.+ Prior healthcare or customer service experience is a plusKey Responsibilities:+ Conduct outreach to members to support care plans, answer questions, and provide community or health plan resources.+ Connect members to health plan and community resources, ensuring high-quality service.+ Provide front-line support for member and provider inquiries, explaining care plan procedures and protocols.+ Assist with member onboarding, including sending welcome letters, correspondence, and educational materials.+ Document and maintain non-clinical member records in compliance with state and regulatory requirements.+ Address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) needs through referrals.Additional Skills:+ Knowledge of Social Determinants of Health preferred+ Strong communication and organizational skillsExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout TEKsystems:We're partners in transformation.
