MMIT’s product portfolio has been built by listening to our clients, and with expert teams of pharmacists, clinicians, data specialists and market researchers who provide foresight, clarity and confidence.At AIS Health, a long-running publishing outlet focused on the U.S. health care industry, is looking for an enthusiastic business reporter who will analyze the latest health care news and identify the impact for insurers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and other industry players.**Responsibilities:**+ Attend weekly editorial meetings, at which you will pitch original story ideas on topics including mergers and acquisitions, financial results, benefit designs, care management, provider networks and regulatory actions.+ Produce 3-4 articles per week (approximately 3,500 words) for subscription publications, which often translate complex financial reports, policy proposals, legal complaints and medical/drug innovations into actionable information for health care business leaders.+ Interview sources including analysts, lawyers, consultants, insurer/PBM executives, etc. and ask them insightful questions that inform thoughtful, forward-looking articles.+ Work with in-house data journalists to develop a data-led infographic using public sector and/or proprietary data.+ Cultivate and maintain a strong network of sources in the health care industry.+ Cover virtual and occasional in-person events, including industry conferences, livestreamed congressional hearings, earnings calls and webinars. Interest in panel moderating a plus.+ Develop niche areas of expertise within our broader coverage universe.+ Contribute to a collaborative peer editing model.**Requirements:**+ 3-5 years’ writing and reporting experience, preferably in the health care realm+ Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, economics or relevant subject+ Track record of success in business reporting+ Knowledge of U.S. health insurance and/or PBM industry preferred+ Strong interviewing and copy-editing skills+ Strategic use of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter)+ Good interpersonal skills for event coverage and gaining cooperation of sources+ Knowledge of AP styleThe expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $79,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
