With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service, managed service, and programmatic ad buying, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, increase product sales, and more.Key job responsibilities• Creates effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.• Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning. Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe.• Delivers weekly/monthly reporting. Uses financial systems and advanced Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans, forecasts, budgets, and consolidations.• Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner.• Identifies and implements solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.• Have backbone, disagree and commit to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions.• Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently.• Discerns between urgent and non-urgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them.• Contributes a positive, and collaborative influence to new team members.A day in the lifeThis Senior Financial Analyst will be working directly with business leaders to provide insightful financial analysis, generate business review reports and influence business decisions.About the teamWe are part of the Amazon Ads Marketing Finance team, a mix of data engineers, economists, and finance professionals that all work together to help drive our advertising business forward.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experiencePreferred Qualifications- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
