(harepoint.com/:b:/s/KnowledgeBaseArticlesSharing/Eeys15Xva4hFokHVtbP1eGIB5i1WFLc-J3k9KHgrFYZ7mg) Please do not apply here, apply internally through Workday.+ If you are NOT a current employee or student, please click “Apply” and complete the application process for external applicants (su.edu/sites/hr/files/Application\_Process\_for\_External\_Applications\_Non-Penn\_State\_Employees\_.pdf) .JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:The Intensive English Communication Program (a.psu.edu/) (IECP) in the College of the Liberal Arts (su.edu/) is seeking an Administrative Assistant to be the primary point of contact for students and faculty, manage IECP’s Student Center, and provide other administrative support to the program.The IECP offers courses in academic English to international students to prepare them for undergraduate and graduate studies. We are seeking a professional and customer-focused individual to provide the best quality of service to students, faculty, staff, and other visitors.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:+ Process new student applications+ Extensive spreadsheet work with entry and tracking of student personal and financial information; preparation of Excel documents for various university offices+ Front desk duties: welcome visitors, answer phones, monitor and manage multiple IECP email accounts, assist with student requests+ Reconcile purchasing cards for IECP faculty and administrative personnel+ Accept and process tuition payments from students+ Maintain office supplies and order new supplies through SIMBA (Penn State’s System for Integrated Management, Budgeting and Accounting)+ Assist faculty, administrators, and lecturers with requests (e.g., processing invoices, reports related to grades and teaching effectiveness)The key responsibilities associated with managing the IECP Student Center include:+ Schedule, organize, and chaperone student events+ Promote events via social media+ Send weekly emails and PowerPoint slides to student and faculty listservs+ Create events calendar each semester and update online events calendarBenefits include (visit su.edu/benefits (su.edu/current-employee/benefits) for more detailed information):+ Medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans+ 75% tuition discounts (including for a spouse and dependent children up to the age of 26)+ Generous vacation and sick time+ 15 paid holidays/campus closure daysThis position is full-time, requiring 40 hours of in-person work per week at Penn State’s University Park campus.
