DescriptionAs a Civil 3D Designer, you will perform a variety of CAD/Civil 3D technical drawing tasks, support a variety of mapping focused projects such as pipeline alignment sheets, preliminary pipeline routing maps, and civil grading design drawingss. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:+ Using working knowledge of survey and land ownership to create preliminary pipeline routing maps.+ Obtaining spatial data from various sources such as the client or a third-party.+ Exporting mapbooks and data to various formats and deliverables for both internal and external project needs.+ Working with engineers to develop the map/drawing objective and appearance to ensure clarity and quality.+ Communcating technical information and results in a clear and concise manner that is usable by other project team members and supervisors.QualificationsWe do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Essential skills and experience:+ Associate's Degree in Drafting & Design, or equivalent technical experience.+ Proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and use interchangeably with GIS.+ 1+ years of relevant GIS experience within the oil and gas industry.+ Experience in using various digital elevation models and/or surveyed point data to create and/or modify Civil 3D surfaces+ Experience in creating and maintaining civil grading drawings+ Experience in creating pipeline alignment sheetsValued, but not required experience:+ Civil 3D+ Experience with importing topographic data into Civil 3D to create a surface+ Experience with importing survey data and GIS data+ Proficient with creating alignment and elevation profiles+ Experience working with HDD/Bore profiles and HDD geometries+ Ability to adapt to client’s requests when creating alignment sheets and modify drawings accordingly+ General understanding of pipeline principles and ability to relate those principles through technical drawings and alignment sheets+ Experience working with Xrefs+ Experience working with sheet set manager+ GIS+ Ability to work with shapefiles and geodatabases+ Strong understanding of projections and coordinate systems+ Strong georeferencing skills+ Gather and edit spatial data+ Ability to import and use CAD data within GIS software+ Understanding of how to work with spatial tools and analyses+ Produce deliverables such as static maps, kmz’s, and data that can be imported into CAD drawings.+ Strong data management and database skills+ General+ Experience working with county assessor parcel data and webmaps to obtain parcel data+ Ability to obtain miscellaneous data from various sources when not supplied by client and/or surveyor.+ Strong mapping skills and experience with ESRI/ArcPro software.Salary Range$71,000 - $81,000Benefits+ Medical Insurance+ Dental Insurance+ Vision Insurance+ Life Insurance+ Short- & Long-Term Disability+ Voluntary Insurance – Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity+ Business Travel Insurance+ Savings Investment Plan (401k)+ Paid Time Off+ Paid Holidays+ Tuition Reimbursement+ First Professional Licensure Monetary Award+ Employee Assistance Program+ Parental Benefits+ Back-Up Care for Children & Adults+ Merit Scholarship ProgramSargent & Lundy is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
