Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Satellite Expeditor.The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.**What you’ll do:**The incumbent will serve as an essential element of the Fabrication team by providing functional expertise and support including but not limited to expediting, machine operation, and material handling. Candidate will be able to effectively expedite/manufacture products for internal and external customers, ensuring product quality and maximum efficiency.**In this function:**+ Assist Fabrication Supervision in executing daily production schedules to ensure finished parts are manufactured and delivered to customers within the required cycle time. Also, incumbent will be responsible in playing a key role in trouble shooting process detractors, identifying process improvement opportunities and working with internal customers to meet their required needs.+ Monitor production schedules for Fabrication department. Adjust process as necessary to assure priorities are met as identified by internal and external customers.+ Knowledgeable in all safety and industrial hygiene requirements as they pertain to fabrication processes and enforce their practice.+ Understand the metrics for quality and production output in each department and work with teams to demonstrate continuous process improvement.+ Maintain communication with other departments, including, materials front end and assembly teams, on the status of priority part orders+ Report out on status of demand at all required plant / production meetings.+ Serve as a resource in performing various skills training. This can include SPC, TPM, ISO AND 5S.+ Ensure all Satellite orders are delivered daily to shipping area.+ Manage all customer Hot Lists to ensure process focus on priorities demand**Qualifications:****Basic (required):**+ High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.+ Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.+ Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.+ No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate are of Sumter county (50 Miles) will be considered for this position.**Preferred:**+ Computer skills including knowledge of AS400, Vista, and DMM. Must be able to operate fork trucks, hand trucks, hand carts, hand tools, banding machine, scales, safety equipment, etc.+ Experience reading tape measures, blueprints, and calipers. Proficient in various production operations including brakes, tapping, notching, and general knowledge of the fabrication process.**Additional Information**+ Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.+ Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.+ Incumbent of the position will be expected to function in other areas in fabrication to support the team’s goals after they have completed their expediting duties.We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
