DescriptionThe Physical Stores Advertising team's mission is to drive advertising growth within Amazon's owned and operated physical stores Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and Go. We believe the in-store shopping experience is a compelling environment to reach and engage shoppers with great advertising. We strive to have advertisers of all types choose our offerings to reach in-store shoppers for a variety of different marketing objectives, and to demonstrate the efficacy of our offerings through advanced and ground breaking measurement.Our team builds the ad products that operate inside Amazon's physical stores and the ad measurement solutions which leverage our physical stores footprint. Our primary customers are advertisers who sell products within our stores, along with other brands who want to reach unique audiences. We are looking for an experienced digital advertising executive who can lead our business development efforts with advertisers. This is an opportunity to help shape our advertising technologies, ad products, and physical retail media business strategy.In this role, you will be focused on deeply understanding our advertiser customer base, their core objectives across Amazon Ads, and how our ad supply can meet those objectives. You will dive deep into the technical aspects of our products and how advertisers prefer to operate and use Amazon’s ad products, and you will work tightly with our product and engineering teams to ensure our offerings are highly compelling in meeting core needs. You will obsess over advertiser needs, collect performance feedback, anticipate how customer decisions are made, and uncover unknown business needs. You will explore new advertiser channels and customer bases and influence roadmaps for how we activate those untapped opportunities. You will work closely with ad sales executives and product marketing leaders on the tools and data insights we need to increase wins and renewals.The person in this role should be highly familiar with business development and go-to-market for advertising products, have excellent project management skills, and be able to apply sound business judgment to help ensure we are delivering the highest quality solutions for advertisers. This person should be adept at working in a startup-like environment and not shy about rolling up their sleeves to get objectives done. They should feel confident in working in a cross-functional environment and be able to lead and influence teams. We operate like a start up, all while leveraging the full scale assets, technologies, and heft of Amazon.Basic Qualifications- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level- 10+ years experience in the digital advertising industry- 5+ years experience in product management, technology business development, advertising sales, or other externally facing roles.Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands in the execution of in-store marketing programs.- Skills in programmatic advertising technology, including demand side platforms (DSPs), deal merchandising, and deal execution.- Knowledge of the Digital Out of Home (DOOH) industry and familiarity with agencies in this space.- Experience working with physical retail media businesses.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
