Applications will be accepted up to 90 days after the posting date, or until the position is filled (whichever is first).**Job Summary:**We are seeking a world-class, strategically minded, and results-focused Sr. Manager, Paid Media Strategy & Planning. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of success in paid media activations across both offline and online channels. This leadership role involves overseeing the media strategy and planning for key brands and lines of business within the Vail Resorts network, with a comprehensive omni-channel focus. The Sr. Manager will manage a substantial budget to achieve scalable results across all Paid channels (Digital, Connected TV, Video, OOH, Radio, Podcasts, etc.) and collaborate closely with cross-functional marketing teams to further optimize our business performance.**Job Responsibilities:**+ **Thought Leadership:** Be a thought leader and expert in media planning and media buying, setting the agenda at all levels.+ **Media Strategy Development:** Support the development of our future Paid Media Strategy across our portfolio of brands for North America+ **Portfolio Planning:** Write portfolio plans to execute media and campaign strategies for maximum impact on ROAS, CAC, and CAC:LTV.+ **Team Leadership:** Lead, influence, and develop a team of highly capable media strategists and planners, fostering an inclusive and performance-driven culture.+ **Data-Driven Optimization:** Utilize data-driven methodologies, analysis, and measurement to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of performance channels.+ **Measurement Enhancement:** Enhance Paid Media measurement capabilities in partnership with Analytics and Data Science teams.+ **Campaign Management:** Own campaign management and reporting, including in-depth analytics of LTV, CAC, ROAS, and incrementality.+ **Complex Project Management:** Translate marketing needs into technical requirements for complex technical projects.+ **Global Media Expertise:** Experience in direct response media on a global scale, leveraging knowledge of measurement approaches, ad tech fundamentals, and the broader media landscape.+ **Adtech Stack Utilization:** Employ the adtech stack in a privacy-preserving and future-forward manner.+ **Goal Ownership:** Maintain and take ownership of goals, KPIs, budget, and forecasts for assigned brands and lines of business.+ **Testing and Segmentation:** Identify and develop testing opportunities to enhance segmentation, targeting, personalization, and reach across paid channels.+ **Vendor Management:** Optimize vendor relationships to increase performance and process efficiency, holding vendors accountable for KPI goals.+ **Reporting and Analytics:** Collect, manage, organize, and present campaign reporting to share performance and learnings.**Job Qualifications:**+ **Experience:**+ Minimum 8 years of experience in performance marketing, media buying, or a growth role.+ Minimum 5 years of people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and organizational design.+ Minimum 1-3 years of media buying experience on DSP platforms such as DV360, The Trade Desk, Adobe Ad Cloud, etc.+ **Education:** Bachelor's degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field.+ **Skills:**+ Expert knowledge in paid media execution, ad tech, tracking & analytics.+ Hands-on experience buying biddable media with extensive knowledge of auction dynamics and platforms like Google Ads, DV360, Meta, Snap, TikTok, Pinterest, Yahoo, TheTradeDesk, Amazon Ads, etc.+ Strong communication and presentation skills.+ Superior problem-solving and prioritization skills with a passion for efficiency.+ **Legal Requirements:** Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.**Additional Qualifications:**+ **Analytical Background:** Comfortable with data and numbers, with experience in analytics and data-driven decision-making.+ **Industry Relationships:** Deep industry relationships with ad tech firms, brand teams, and publisher partners.+ **Strategic Thinking:** Ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically.+ **Self-Starter:** Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting.+ **Global Strategy Implementation:** Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive global paid media strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.The expected Total Compensation for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 + annual bonus.
