Our work depends on a Secret level cleared Technical Writer joining our team to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer in Springfield, VA.​**HOW A TECHNICAL WRITER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT****General Description** :As a Technical Writer on this team, you will review and edit material for punctuation, grammar, and content to ensure clarity and accuracy. The candidate will identify and modify contextual errors, reorganize content, and edit graphics, tables, and illustrations to enhance the overall presentation. You will develop processes for crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and creating highly articulate articles. The candidate will collaborate closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate and complex content. Additionally, you will provide guidance to less-experienced technical editor personnel, helping them improve their skills and knowledge.**Specific description** :As the ideal candidate, you will assist in collecting and organizing information required for the preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and other reports and deliverables. The candidate will quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures. You will develop, organize, and format information for technical user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and other reports and deliverables. The candidate will conduct quality assurance and proofing of project documents. You must have a firm grasp of the written English language and the subject area around which your work centers. You will organize and set out in-depth information and guidelines clearly and effectively.**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED**You should have experience using the following software and technical applications:+ Adobe products such as Acrobat, **RoboHelp** , and Illustrator+ HTML 5 Coding+ Advanced Microsoft Office Techniques and Formatting+ Microsoft SharePoint Documentation and Collaboration (note: you will not be building or administering)+ XML+ Python a PLUS**Certifications Preferred** : Practitioner Certification - Society for Technical CommunicatorsIf you have what it takes and can demonstrate these in a **possible technical interview, please apply. You must have an active SECRET (minimum) or Top Secret/SCI (preferred) clearance to be considered. Educational requirements vary but most require a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of work experience.**The likely hourly rate for this position is between $82,450.00 - $111,550.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
