It is responsible for identifying, assessing, and escalating potential money laundering and reputational risk issues associated with higher risk client types. This team is considered the first line of defense and supports the onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and negative news processes for Morgan Stanley.*Position Summary: *Reporting into the Office of the COO, the Strategic and Field Communications Lead will be responsible for:* Developing and executing the team’s communication strategy - articulating the organization’s mission and progress against key initiatives.* Driving executive-level content, analysis and presentations for a broad audience inclusive of senior management, regulators and WM field staff.* Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to the 1L Financial Crimes leadership team.Because of the broad nature of the role, candidates must have:* A proven track record of supporting and working with executive level leadership, as well as with multiple functions within an organization* The ability to manage multiple deadlines and initiatives simultaneously, often under tight deadlines, while maintaining high standards and a critical attention to detail* A passion for communication and strategic story telling* * #LI-AJ1*Required Skills:** At least 10 years of experience in communications or strategic consulting, preferably in the Financial Services industry* Powerful communications skills with the ability to convey messages concisely and effectively, verbally, graphically and in writing* Expertise in senior-level presentation development and delivery (samples required)* Ability to direct and drive senior stakeholders towards a common goal and high EQ* Confidence and comfort operating in high-paced and high-profile environments* Demonstrable track record of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately* Ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire information* Highly motivated, self-starter that can work autonomously and can independently take initiative* Senior understanding of enterprise organizational and behavioral dynamics* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations* Experience in supporting audit and regulatory inquiries and interactions with Board, senior management* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint* Bachelors degree required*Preferred Skills:** Experience with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/AML functions within the financial services industry* Familiar with Know Your Customer Enhanced Due Diligence processes* First Line Risk & Controls, Compliance or Audit experience* Passionate about privacy and the protection of customers’ personal informationMorgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
