Our customized service offerings and world-class service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customer’s laboratory's business needs.**What will you do?**The Cell Culture Media & Buffer Prep division batches routine and complete growth solutions & reagents. We are passionate about service excellence for the Unity Lab Services division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position will apply the basic functionality of systems and applications relevant to the job function, including the use of various benchtop equipment and instruments. Strong interpersonal skills are required. A successful candidate will understand the theory and will be able to troubleshoot root cause failures and optimize assays under the supervision of management. Functions will also involve preventative maintenance of equipment and upkeep of commonly used chemical supplies.Job specific duties also include performing tasks associated with media prep such as pH titration, osmolality adjustment, aseptic filtration techniques, aliquots, use of autoclaves for sterilization of Media/Buffer related materials, Clean In Place (CIP) of laboratory skids and apparatus, and performing calculations based on molarity, percent by volume, and dilutions.We use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in all record keeping. We maintain metric data for work performed and promote a safe work environment through various safety initiatives within functional area. We participate in individual and group projects that can include cost savings analysis, writing job training methods, job aids, work instructions, and review and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).**Education & Experience:**Associate Degree required, Batchelor Degree preferred. 0-3 years of dynamic meaningful experience required experience in a GxP laboratory setting a plus. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with.
