We succeed when advertisers are able to sustainably grow their brand and business at scale with our advertising product(s).About this Role:As a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) for Sponsored Brands advertiser controls team, you will work closely with software development engineers, product managers, scientists, data engineers, and business operations to develop innovative cross-functional solutions that enable advertisers to create, manage and optimize campaigns at scale.In this role, you will be responsible for driving and delivering large technical projects end-to-end. Responsibilities include defining and driving project schedules from design to release, managing risks and issues, ensuring dependencies are identified and managed. As a Sr. TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.To succeed in this role, you will need to have both technical and functional acumen as well as a passion for ownership, communication and bringing clarity and structure to ambiguity. You will be equally comfortable and adept in working with waterfall and agile practices. This position involves regular communication with senior leadership on status, risks and change control.Key job responsibilities- You will be responsible for diving deep into technical systems, understanding them well and staying connected to the details.- You will be responsible for delivering results despite working in an ambiguous environment.- You will need a strong bias for action and be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.- You will define strategy and build and execute road maps for the programs you own.- You will be responsible for overall coordination, quality and productivity and will be the primary point of contact for world-wide stakeholders of programs that you run.- Throughout, you will internalize Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and live those into everyday practices to guide your programs to success.Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience- 3+ years of software development experience- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmapsPreferred Qualifications- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadershipAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
