DescriptionThe AdPT FP&A Finance team is seeking a curious, analytical and data driven Senior Financial Analyst to be a key partner in the sponsored ads and advertising product, tech spaces. The successful candidate will own critical planning components across the advertising space. This individual will be responsible for planning and forecasting including measuring key drivers and health of the business. The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute deliverables. The right individual will have solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve and prioritize.Key job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Include:- Produce, analyze, and present the monthly financial package for ADSP- Support the revenue and expense planning for quarterly guidance and the annual planning process- Partner with senior finance leadership to drive the business- Ad hoc analysis including creating, maintaining and expanding the scope of the models that help drive the businessA day in the lifeOn a typical day this position will interact with senior leaders across the advertising space for ad hoc finance requests, deep dive into a business metric, and other planning information. This position is critical to maintaining a strict planning timeline, tracking deliverables, and getting the plan numbers into the financial system for all planning cycles.About the teamAbout the teamThis team provides Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) support to Ad Product and Tech (AdPT) organization. This includes Sponsored Ads products (SP, SB, SD), the ADSP product (dollars transacting through ADSP) and other AdTech. Our processes include revenue planning and forecasting, performance reporting and deep dives, supporting monthly and quarterly financial reviews (MFR / QFR), goals and headcount planning.Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 2+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degreePreferred Qualifications- MBA, or CPA- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
