We’ve got what you’re looking for.**Job Description:**Our Parsons Indianapolis office is now hiring for a **Structural Bridge Designer** to support various **transportation infrastructure projects** for the **Indiana DOT** , **and the surrounding region** . This role supports civil/structural engineers at varying levels. **Microstation experience and proficiency is a plus but not required!****Responsibilities:**+ **Utilize Microstation** to prepare contract drawings from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.+ Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.+ Utilizes samples, instruction, and established standards as a guide in transferring design information from market prints and sketches to preliminary or final drawings.+ Become familiar with various standards and codes such as **AASHTO and INDIANA DOT standards.**+ Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.+ Understand how to read and create orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and interpret supplier/manufacturer drawings.**Qualifications:**+ High School Diploma (or equivalent)+ B.S. in Architectural Engineering Technology is preferred+ B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology is preferred+ Associate of Applied Science (AAS) is preferred+ Associate of Science is preferred+ Solid Working knowledge of **Microstation InRoads** **and Open Roads** is highly preferred for this position but can be learned on the job+ Project-wise and project delivery experience is desirable but not required+ Experience with Indiana DOT drafting standards is desirable, but not required+ Working knowledge of other computer software used to complete design assignments+ Relevant experience gained in internships or other preferred**Minimum Clearance Required to Start:**Not Applicable/NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 75 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
