The individual will verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors and contact nursing staff if the patient requires assistance or serves as a threat to themselves or other staff members. This individual works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide a safe environment for an identified patient who is at an increased risk to cause harm to self.**WORK SHIFT**Variable schedule to include weekend & holiday rotation.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS****EDUCATION** _(For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.)_**Required Education:** High school diploma or equivalent**EXPERIENCE****Minimum Experience Required:** Demonstrated proficiency with verbal communication skills and prioritizing simultaneous situations. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.**Preferred/Optional Experience:** Experience providing direct patient care in a hospital setting. Experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).**CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES**The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:**Minimum Required:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.**Preferred/Optional:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.**Marshfield Clinic Health System is committed to enriching the lives of others through accessible, affordable and compassionate healthcare.
