This role will be part of Marketing Investment/Full Year Forecasting (FYF) team within Marketing and Franchise Development, supporting US Personal Banking. The Marketing Investment / Full Year Forecasting (FYF) team manages US Marketing spend through a monthly marketing expense and contra revenue forecasting and reporting process. This position will focus primarily on the monthly expense forecasting process across lines of businesses (Cards, Retail, Citi Retail Services and Mortgage) as well as development of forecast reports for each marketing focus area.The Budget Lead Analyst is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. The budget analyst has recognized technical authority for budget management, forecasting and reporting. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide and influence, in particular colleagues in other areas. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology (expense platform improvement) or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.**Responsibilities:**+ Gathering of forecast and Plan inputs from across the organization.+ Close partnership with Marketing teams and key stakeholders (Finance, Operations, Analytics).+ Aggregation and reporting of forecast. Create complex data sets into senior-level reports.+ Close monitoring of accruals.+ Identification of opportunities to reinvest or reallocate marketing dollars.+ Robust monthly reporting of the forecast across lines of business.+ Partnership with our Operations partners as it relates to capacity planning, and leading cross functional projects such as key reporting and process transformation initiatives.+ Work with Marketing Expense platform (MRM) on system enhancements. Ideating , gathering and documenting business requirements.+ Day-to-day management of individual project responsibilities including milestone setting, task and actions management, co-ordination and execution of plan within required timelines and to stakeholder quality expectations.+ Foster and maintain relationships with business stakeholders, support, testing and development team members.+ Identify key project risks, whether stated or not, and manage to resolution or escalate accordingly.+ Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.+ Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.**Qualifications:**+ 6-10 years experience (Financial Planning and Analysis /FP&A or expense analyst experience a plus).+ Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter.+ Ability to priorities is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.+ Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive.+ Desire to improve processes.+ Advanced working knowledge of full cycle of expense management.+ Track record as a Business/Expense Analyst within the Financial Services/Investment Banking industry.+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions+ Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge.+ Team player and relationship management skills.+ Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design.+ Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers.+ Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.+ Broad understanding of consumer banking and key drivers of P&L.+ Project management skills.+ Understanding of business strategies and investment needs.+ Data oriented and skilled in data visualization: ability to analyze large and complex data sets and create senior-level presentations / reporting.+ Highly analytical: understands key business drivers and identify risks and opportunities to budget.+ Ability to collaborate and gain buy-in and support from a wide range of stakeholders (Marketing, Analytics, Product, Finance, Controllers, Operations).+ Strong skills in creating executive presentations.+ Advanced Excel, PowerPoint.+ Tableau is a plus.**Education:**+ Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
