We’d love to talk with you.Position is 100% on-site at the Huntsville, AL Corporate Office.General Summary:Assists in the development and management of internal content across multiple platforms that drives employee engagement, aligns with business objectives, and meets IT and security requirements.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions):+ Creates an internal communications strategy that meets all IT and security requirements and improves employee engagement.+ Keep employees connected, engaged, and informed by developing new creative formats for delivering and distributing information, and being the face and voice of information flow. This includes a newsletter, events, flyers, intranet, videos, and email.+ Helps build an intranet with our IT Solutioning team.+ Supports the Leadership Team with voice/tone, communications strategies, and tactics including presentation support.+ Builds and maintains an internal content calendar using the right channels to deliver each message. Writes as a contributor to different channels and also delegates content tasks to other writers.+ Plans and executes internal events like company-wide meetings, summer intern events, and CO-Pro (Corporate Professionals) events around professional development and networking.+ Works closely with the Human Resources Department on employee engagement initiatives like onboarding communications, training materials, and employee gifts, especially branded COLSA promotional items.+ Sets strategy for effective internal crisis communications.+ Manages internal communication channels to ensure messaging is reaching and resonating with all employees.+ Develops best practices/KPIs to enable continuous improvement of the internal communications function, driving better employee engagement+ Collaborates on special projects and change communications initiatives as the company continues to grow.+ Establishes and grows strategic, cross-functional, internal relationships to assist in execution of communications strategies.At COLSA, people are our most valuable resource and centered at our core value. We invite you to unite your talents with opportunity and be a part of our “Family of Professionals!” Learn about our employee-centric culture and benefits here (olsa.com/culture\_benefits/) .Required SkillsRequired ExperienceRequired Qualifications:+ Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.+ 5 or more years of experience in internal communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.+ Senior-level experience using communications tools and software such as the Microsoft suite, especially SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook; social media platforms; and the Adobe suite.+ Senior-level, editing, and/or storytelling abilities, especially in terms of newsletters and internal communications.+ Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.+ U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to pass criminal background check prior to hire.Preferred Qualifications:+ Experience in the Government/Federal Agency Market a plus.Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
