We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.**Description**The Candler School of Theology Audio & Visual Specialist manages and organizes an extensive library of digital assets, including photographs, videos, and related metadata, working with the staff of Pitts Theology Library to appropriately archive the digital output of the school and make content accessible to internal and external patrons.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Coordinates post-production workflows for curricular and co-curricular content, including raw footage management, audio and video editing, color correction, graphic design, and media export/distribution.+ Provides counsel, assistance, and training to faculty and staff on multi-media production, editing, and archiving.+ Monitors incident and service request software to manage and track support calls and tickets.+ Analyzes customer's messages to determine best courses of action, resolve issues, answer efficiently, and improve processes for meeting future requests.+ Trains and supervises contractors, volunteers, or student workers assisting with audio duties, providing guidance on proper equipment usage, sound mixing techniques, and troubleshooting procedures.+ Provides operational assistance for the school's video production studio.+ Collaborates with IT colleagues to ensure all classroom equipment is working properly.+ Manages all aspects of audio and video production and post-production in Cannon Chapel during chapel services, special events as scheduled, ceremonies, and recordings.+ Operates and maintains Cannon Chapel audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, amplifiers, and speakers, to ensure optimal sound quality during chapel services and events.+ Conducts sound checks, rehearsals, and equipment tests to identify and resolve any technical issues or sound discrepancies before chapel services and events.+ Monitors audio levels and make real-time adjustments during services to ensure balanced sound and clarity for both live audiences and online broadcasts.+ Coordinates with video production team members to synchronize audio and video elements seamlessly for live streaming and recording purposes.+ Provides audio/visual setup support for faculty and staff users, both in classroom and event setups.+ Performs other duties as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:+ Bachelor's degree and at least three years of audio/visual experience, preferably in a religious or worship environment for live events or broadcast, Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for chapel services and special events.+ Certifications in audiovisual support, such as Certified Audio Engineer (CEA) or Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) is preferred.NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion.
