**Your Impact**The primary purpose of the Manager, Color, Material, & Finish (CMF) Design is to oversee and coordinate CMF projects. This role is pivotal to Lowe's Private Brands and serves as the expert on Color, Material and Finish across the private brand portfolio. The Manager, Color, Material, & Finish (CMF) Design will work collaboratively with the Trend, Design & Style leaders as well as with cross-functional partners on design requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and market-driven CMF strategies. This position will create CMF solutions with consideration of cost targets, product landscapes, and timelines.**What you will do**+ Manages color, material & finish from concept to production and ensures the design development process and product execution objectives are achieved.+ Works cross-functionally to ensure the designs, features, and customer experience are maintained.+ Understands the process of all materials in production and in development to effectively work with suppliers to achieve design intent and cost targets.+ Guides planned design execution of colors, materials, and finishes for production products including post-production updates and changes as well as in-house mockups.+ Analyzes and approves color, materials, and finishes for all Lowe’s private branded products, as necessary as well as utilizes the L*a*b color model to set values and tolerances to measure objective color and calculate color differences.+ Works with Product Development & Sourcing partners to ensure suppliers produce materials meeting the expected standards.+ Utilizes color, material and finish (CMF) expertise to support Lowe’s sustainability goals.+ Consults with vendors to assist them with matching Lowe's Private Brand finish specs.+ Collaborates and strategizes with cross-functional teams, including Trend, Design, Style and Product Development, to implement new finishes.+ Manages relationships with finish sample suppliers and Private Brand vendor and/or manufacturers.+ Stays current and knowledgeable on new materials and technologies.+ Manages digital images of finishes as well as tracks finish codes and provides Legacy Finish Management.+ Manages Finish Sample Chip Sourcing & Production as well as library/storage/inventory to include finish sample chip distribution.+ Individual Contributor**Required Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's Degree Industrial Design, Fashion, Design, Color and Material Design, or related field+ 7-10 years of CMF experience+ 5-7 Years Demonstrated technical knowledge of mass production, manufacturing processes and materials.+ Experience in Project Management. visual, communication and presentation skills.+ Expertise in Solidworks, KeyShot, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/Photoshop)+ Ability to understand the buyer and marketplace and create concepts to meet & exceeds the customer expectations.+ Experience working with CMF relating to woods, metals, plastics & fabrics.**Preferred Qualifications:**+ Experience in the home decor/furnishings industry with evidence of exceptional ability.+ Experience with data management systems - PLM and/or Windchill**About Lowe's:**Lowe’s Companies, Inc.
