LENAX is a goal-oriented and customer-driven independent consulting business, aimed at adding value and strength to our clients’ program teams by providing expertise in current pricing and economic trends, while utilizing the most up to date means and methods in the construction and design industries.LENAX is looking for a Communications, Signal and Train Control MEP Manager with construction management experience for this Los Angeles, CA rail project. In this role, one's duties working at the site include:+ Understanding how to read, translate, and interpret construction plans, specifications, and codes of work being performed in the field;+ Witnessing and understanding testing of train control, communications, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire alarm equipment in the field;+ Monitoring construction site safety and violations, non-conformance work and writing reports; and understanding Federal laws, State regulations, and local Building codes.+ Utilizing demonstrated expertise to monitor contractors’ work for compliance to schedule, Budget, Technical Specifications, and Legal Requirements.+ Bringing proven expertise to solve complex design and construction problems--ensuring the success of projects for our clients.+ Reporting to the Project Manager, and working with the project team of inspectors, surveyors, office engineers etc.Position Qualifications:+ Education+ Technical Certificate or Engineering Degree in related field.+ Technical training in Transit Rail Signal Communication Systems.+ Must have an ICC or ICB certification in Building and MEP.+ A Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-hour training certification at the start of work on the project.+ Fifteen (15) or more years’ experience as Transit Rail Signal Inspector/Manager; including five (5) years’ experience with Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Alarm.+ Computer skills:+ Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word)+ Effective communication skills—verbal and written (including writing reports);+ Must possess a valid California Class C driver’s license+ Able to lift 25 pounds while on the project sitePlease take note of the following:This is not a remote position. At present, the client may authorize an optional, hybrid/telework schedule. However, employees must be available to report to the worksite as needed. As this is an “option” and a benefit, and given that a complete workstation will be available at the worksite, no workstation items will be provided to those taking advantage of this benefit. The hybrid/telework schedule is not required.The salary range for this position is $88.94 –103.36/hr. ($185,000 - $215.00/yr.) based upon qualifications, in meeting-to-exceeding position-specific requirements.
