Visual Effects Executive, Apple TVCulver City,California,United StatesMarketingWe are looking for an experienced visual effects executive to support our Apple original content initiative. The role is to assist with supervising productions in the area of visual effects in an executive capacity from pre-production through delivery, as well as advise development and estimation on visual effects logistics**Description**Assisting with supervising visual effects departments and personnel on shows as designated by the Apple Senior Visual Effects Executive. Assisting with approval process on show visual effects personnel, supervising VFX budget related issues and schedules on shows Communicating weekly with all show visual effects producers and/or visual effect supervisors, under the mentorship of the Senior VFX Executive. Assisting with breaking down early scripts for visual effects counts and schedules, estimating a budget along with the need for special processes like scanning, motion capture, pre-vision, etc. Crafting and maintaining relationships with visual effects, pre-vision, and scanning vendors and personnel. Researching tax credit nuances related to visual effects. Supervising all show visual effects budgets and anticipated costs based on changing cuts and reports to the Apple Senior Visual Effects Executive with weekly updates on costs. Going to set as needed for sophisticated visual effects sequences, motion capture, scanning, etc. Checking visual effects vendor contracts for accurate language and deliverables. Assisting with coordinating show visual effects turnovers to Apple for review, and provides specifications for files. Screening visual effects for technical notes, and culling together all other Apple department notes. Attending tradeshows and technical retreats to research equipment and cutting-edge processes, as well as network with technical industry professionals to stay current. Communicating with VFX teams weekly at minimum for updates, discuss any budding issues, or communicate any changes from Apple. Implementing all Apple content security policies and assist with content permissions. Helping to procure materials from shows for marketing or other needs. Fielding questions about Apple and the delivery process, being solution oriented, kind and helpful to all production companies.**Minimum Qualifications**+ Minimum of 10 years as a Studio or Network Visual Effects Executive or Consultant+ Minimum of 5 years in show-side Freelance Visual Effects+ A deep knowledge of how the VFX process works, as well as established relationships with many reputable visual effects facilities domestically and globally+ A strong background in VFX and the visual effects process for 4K and premium content across a variety of formats (scripted, unscripted, kids, animation, theatrical, etc.)+ Assist with accurately scheduling and budgeting visual effects from prep through delivery+ Detailed understanding of the entire content pipeline from camera capture to final delivery+ Build trust and relationships with productions of all sizes and scope+ An extensive knowledge of the digital filmmaking process, deliverables requirements, cameras, lenses, 4K, Dolby Vision HDR, all the leading and ground breaking specifications being explored by premium content distributors+ A detailed understanding of ground breaking visual effects techniques+ A love for premium content and storytelling with appreciation of the Apple brand and what it stands for**Key Qualifications****Preferred Qualifications**+ Executive Post-Production experience+ Leading a show from prep and bidding through final delivery with the ability to not over-reach, and step up if needed+ Experience breaking down scripts for visual effects, provide budget estimations and giving technical visual effects notes as needed+ Bachelors Degree+ Knowledge and firsthand experience with Virtual Production techniques**Education & Experience****Additional Requirements****Pay & Benefits**+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
