Freelance Graphic DesignerThe Clever Factory's creative team is growing, and we are looking for talented freelance designers and artists who can create, design, and bring to life visual concepts in the product areas of Gift, Stationery, Toys, Educational products, and Impulse! We are a dynamic product development company, located in Nashville, TN, and we create products for major retailers in the US and internationally. It is required to have a strong fundamental design background specializing in typography, illustration, layout, and/or surface pattern design with direct experience in the category. Candidates should submit a current resume and electronic portfolio to be considered for the role.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Direct passion for design to create stationery, toys, educational products, and gift bags digital art files and product specifications for manufacturing.Collaborate with The Clever Factory on the design process to take design ideas from conceptualization to implementation bringing beautiful projects to life within guidelines.Review and revise designs as requested to accept and implement feedback and changes whenever possible to deliver products in alignment with the needs of the customers and stakeholders.Continuously enhancing artistic abilities by keeping up with trends, technology, and creative software suites in the field to create beautiful design projects for digital and print for all audiences.Combine various techniques to produce creative and innovative graphics from concepts and ideas.Communicate professionally throughout the design project while also maintaining confidentiality.Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with tight deadlines for a quality product with commitment to digital accuracy and multi-layer graphics.Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Bachelor degree in graphic arts or design, fine arts, advertising, marketing, or a related field with strong interest in Illustration is required.Minimum of two years of professional experience in designing, editing, and producing art, utilizing graphic design software programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate.Excellent organizational skills with execution focus and diligent attention to detail.Results-oriented, as well as a creative thinker with the ability to quickly come up with and deliver concepts for new products.Excellent time management stills to be able to create the required deliverables working within tight deadlines and quick turnaround for revisions.Talented in typography and illustration for developing art with quality colors, fonts, text, images, symbols, styles, and layouts.
