Mechanical DesignerJob Description

Design and create virtual solid models of new products, modifications, and upgrades to existing designs, from detailed component design to full assembly. Create 3D CAD models for individual components, systems, and assemblies. Generate tolerance stack-up analysis, mass properties, etc., on component assemblies to ensure proper fit and function. Utilize industry-standard manufacturing processes as a design requirement. Document manufacturing required processes, tooling, and fixtures. Create design and manufacturing documentation as necessary for: Technical Data Package (TDP) development, manufacturing operations, engineering analysis, and product installations. Participate in multi-disciplinary, integrated project teams. Communicate progress on projects with the Lead Designer. Ensure all work is done in compliance with Quality Requirements, ISO 9001/AS9100 standards, company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
