Boeing Digital Design is currently looking for a

Sr. User Experience Designer

to join our team in

Seattle, WA . This position will focus on supporting our Airplane Health Management product which uses predictive maintenance analytics to improve airline fleet reliability and on-time performance.

A successful candidate understands the value of collaboration and communication in the design process. As part of the product design team, they will partner with cross-functional teams to create an effective, usable, and satisfying user experience. The candidate will support user-centered design activities involving end users throughout all phases of design and development. They will create user interaction design concepts and convey these designs through user flows and prototypes. The candidate will have experience creating and using design tokens within a design system and communicating designs effectively to the development teams.

Position Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct user research using appropriate methodologies to gather insights and validate hypothesesDevelop interaction models and user flowsCreate and maintain wireframes, mockups, and prototypesDesign responsive web applications using Google Material Design standardsLeverage design tokens and design systems to achieve consistency across portfolio applicationsThis position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at our Seattle WA location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Minimum 7 years of successful digital product design using UX best practicesHighly skilled using Figma design softwareSignificant experience building and maintaining design systemsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to simplify complex user interactions and navigationStrategic design thinkerPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor's degree in a design or human factors related programTypical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)
