Position Overview

The Digital Marketing Manager acts as a strong player/coach as they develop, implement, track, and optimize our digital marketing strategy across all digital channels while also providing oversight and development to the members of the digital marketing team. This position is responsible for digital marketing campaign planning, including web, SEO/SEM, email, and social media, maintaining our social media presence across all digital channels, managing budget expenditures, and measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns.

This position should have a firm grasp of current marketing tools and strategies and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. The Digital Marketing Manager will work with the larger Product Development and Marketing team, Technology, Global Client Service, Investment Teams, and external vendors to align our ongoing digital strategy with GMO's business goals and continually strengthen our firm's preeminent reputation for delivering superior investment performance and advice to our clients.

Responsibilities Include:
• Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
• Design, build, and maintain our social media presence, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positioning
• Collaborate closely with GMO's legal and compliance teams to ensure all digital marketing adheres to regulatory guidelines
• Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
• Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on those insights
• Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
• Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience
• Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels
• Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
• Evaluate emerging technologies, providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
• Contributing to projects to advance the strategic objectives of GMO's Marketing and Client Services team
• Communicate the impact of digital marketing initiatives on business growth and client retention.

Required Skills:
• BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
• 7+ years proven working experience in digital marketing
• Asset Management experience required
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
• Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
• Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
• Experience with Salesforce, Seismic, Optimizely, Hootsuite, Cvent, and On24 is a plus

$150,000 - $175,000 a year

This salary range is estimated for this role and actual pay may be different based on a candidate's qualifications and/or years of experience. In addition, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus award, which award may be determined by individual, team, department and firm performance, and is subject to the terms of GMO's compensation plan. This position is also benefits eligible.
