We are seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Director, User Experience (UX) to lead the charge in creating exceptional experiences for our customers. As the Senior Director of UX, you will be responsible for ensuring that every touchpoint our customers have with our product is user-friendly, efficient, and enjoyable. You will work with a talented team of designers, researchers, and technical writers to deliver user-centered design solutions and engaging technical documentation.

What would you do, if hired?

  • Lead and manage UX and technical docs teams to create user-centered design solutions and engaging technical documentation that meets customers' needs
  • Inspire and grow a team of designers, researchers, and technical writers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers to ensure user-centered design and technical documentation is integrated into product development processes
  • Develop and maintain a UX and technical documentation strategy and roadmap that prioritizes initiatives based on business impact and user feedback
  • Continuously evaluate and improve UX and technical documentation processes and methodologies, using design thinking methods and metrics to assess impact on user engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Maintain design systems, patterns, and accessibility guidelines, ensuring consistency in language and structure across all technical documentation
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure UX and technical documentation is integrated into all business decisions
  • Ensure a scalable process that can evolve with future product features and business requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of experience in UX design, research, technical writing or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Technical Writing or a related field preferred
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across a range of products, and engaging technical documentation
  • Deep understanding of user research methodologies and experience conducting user research
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with product management and engineering teams
  • Understanding of design thinking methodologies and the ability to apply them in practice
  • Practical understanding of the customer journey and what makes a unique customer experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and defend design solutions to stakeholders including executive leadership
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with design systems and design tooling

Celigo reasonably expects to pay a base salary between $175,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year for this position. Actual starting base pay will be determined by skills, experience, geographic location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, benefits, or other perks as outlined in any formal employment offer made.
