Position Overview

As a Creative Director you will be responsible for developing creative campaign concepts and leading multi-disciplinary teams through ideation to execution. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development of big, brand-building, persuasive, and unexpected ideas across all channels. Additionally, you will provide leadership and motivation while simultaneously extracting amazing thoughts and ideas from reporting creatives. The Creative Director must possess the ability to defuse problems and come up with solutions in the best interests of the company, the clients, and the creative team.

Key Responsibilities

Direct projects from concept to completion with minimal oversight from ECDs and GCDs, ensuring that creative ideas are executed in an exceptional way –Act in the best interest of the client’s and/or the agency’s big idea when managing the day-to-day operationsProvide creative guidance to ensure ideas are tied to strategy, pushing for Famously Effective ideas internally as well as with the clientManage the client relationship and lead creative meetings/presentations to the clientGenerate ideas to help pitch and win new businessLead effective team meetings to both organize high quantity of work, but also to inspire and motivate team members.Work with internal and external strategic partners to create products using the most current industry best practicesSetting an example for the larger team through setting high creative standards and overall involvement in the larger agency initiatives.May develop junior teams with careful and consistent feedback, mentorship and model behaviorMay train and supervise team members. Oversee their creative efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on schedule, and are meeting creative standards.May oversee career development of junior team members. Perform reviews to determine strengths, growth opportunities, goals, and ambitions.Remain current on latest creative trends globally. Stay curious about award shows, past and present case studies, production companies, and everything that is being created by some of the best people and companies in our industry. Only by gaining an understanding of what kind of work moves you and what it takes to get there, you will then be able to create work that moves others.Stay on top of the latest technological advancements, including design software, digital tools, and platforms, to enhance creative processes and deliver innovative solutionsRemain curious about pop culture, social media trends and your audience's interests and behaviors in order to infuse culturally relevant elements into briefs and campaigns. Bring the outside world into our work, so our brands can join the conversation.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

At least 12+ years of industry experience in a well-established, creative role with a proven track record of agency successAgency experience working across all channelsStrong creative portfolio highlighting relevant/category experience and industry award winning workSolid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clientsKnowledge of marketing, all forms of advertising, and digital experiences, with proven conceptual and design abilitiesExperience working with large teams in client-facing roleExcellent written and presentation skillsAble to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $215,000 to $240,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
