The roleYou're responsible for the editorial photography used in EMURJ's marketing, e-commerce, and advertising. As an integral part of the Creative team, you'll collaborate on pre-production and production, and lead post-production to deliver ready-to-use content assets.
You'll work closely with the Creative Director to develop EMURJ's unique photography style, characterized by authenticity and naturalism, juxtaposing stylized fashion and everyday environments, organic and unconventional compositions, and natural lighting.
You'll bring creativity, passion, and ingenuity to editorial concepts and production, and ensure alignment with EMURJ's visual aesthetic.
This role is in San Diego, California, and is open to freelance and full-time opportunities.
What you’ll be doing
Photograph editorial shoots for use in the e-commerce storefront, marketing channels, and advertising
Develop and evolve EMURJ's unique photography style
Collaborate with the Creative team to develop shoot concepts
Work with the Creative team to produce shoots
Scout locations for planned and potential shoots
Work with the Creative team on weekly content schedule and support ad-hoc shoots
Perform post-production to deliver ready-to-use assets, including image selection, raw processing, retouching, color grading, and exporting
You must have
Experience in fashion photography
Strong photography portfolio
Excellent technical knowledge of photography and lighting
Experience with outdoor and indoor on-location photography
Proficient in production and post-production software, including Photoshop, Lightroom or CaptureOne
Proven ability to lead all photography aspects of shoot production from start to finish
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Creative streak and ability to collaborate with others
Bonus points that will set you apart
Understanding and interest in the fashion landscape
Experience with videography and the video post-production process and tools
Experience with fashion e-commerce photography, including on-model, flat-lay, and product-only
A portfolio that aligns with EMURJ's photography style
