The ideal candidate for this position will be a thoughtful decision-maker with the proven ability to lead strategic buying initiatives.Responsibilities:Own tactical plan development, recommendation, building, and negotiations across their respective channelsThorough knowledge of the principles of on/offline marketing and advertising as well as an understanding of media concepts and termsAssist with the evaluation of media plans of National TV linear, cinema, and video on demand (VOD)Gather data to create reports including Rankers, Dimensions, overnights, etc.Collaborate with key partners including Client Ops, Strategy, Analytics, and external agenciesAssist with deck writing, budget and channel allocation, and audience developmentAnalyze data to inform purchase and channel allocation and prepare post-buy documentsScreen content per client's guidelines & budget allocationsLead strategic planning initiatives including deck writing, budget and channel allocation and audience developmentOversee day-to-day campaign execution and is responsible for ensuring campaigns deliver on KPIsSupport development of strategic approach and experience design by delivering channel ideas and providing the link to reality of historical performance and in-market opportunitiesBuild strong relationships with client counterparts and manage day-to-day relationshipsResponsible for management, development, and mentorship of Associates/Sr. AssociatesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights2+ years of related media buying experienceExtensive knowledge of National Video management (Digital video and Broadcast TV) and Digital (Display, video, Social, Mobile, etc.)Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of groupsExcellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to translate and present complicated ideas in a simple, and easy to understand yet creative styleWillingness to learn and create solutions that challenge the status quoExceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with the ability to think unconventionally in proposing solutionsNegotiation and influence skills – steeped in industry, brand, and competitive knowledgeA proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects effectively; ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlinesStrong attention to detailPrevious team management experience desired with ability to effectively coach and develop others is a plusAdditional Information:Starcom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
