UX Director

to lead our Honeywell User Experience (HUE) Design for our Aerospace business. Our team is nimble and agile, with limited hierarchy and lots of ownership. You’ll report directly to the Aero Vice President of Offering Management and Product Innovation and lead a team of 10 direct reports. We're looking for someone who is driven to deliver true customer value, passionate about creating a differentiated customer experience, and competent at architecting new hardware, software and service offerings.

Like the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.As the Director of HUE, you will set the design direction and contribute directly to creating the next generation of user experiences on a wide variety of leading-edge applications. This can include Commercial and Military Avionics, Space, UAV, AI, unmanned Arial vehicles, and virtual reality products. You will collaborate with business partners on developing needs-based segmentation, personas, product roadmaps, and offerings. You will be the voice of design in strategic business and annual operating planning, as well as serve as the functional decision maker for HUE throughout project development.You will use your design expertise and business acumen to deliver exceptional value to our leading global organization; through team leadership, workshops, reviews, presentations, and a hands-on pragmatic usage of time, technology, and resources. You will be responsible for developing and upskilling the UX design team, creating efficiencies and design consistency across the entire product portfolio.The variety of our business hardware and software applications will challenge your creative talents, and our global footprint will expose you to diverse cultures and developing markets. Together, we seek to understand evolving customer needs, create new concepts that solve important problems, and deliver outstanding offerings that delight customers around the world.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.YOU MUST HAVEBachelor’s degree15+ years of experience in experience design and product developmentWE VALUEProficient user experience design skills, e.g., customer journey map, experience diagramming, task analysis, workflow design, etc.Extensive experience in industrial design of hardware.Graduate degree in interaction design, graphic design or related discipline.Outstanding user experience design portfolio or concepts and commercialized products.Experience with observational user research, ethnography, voice of customer and synthesis.Fluent with design sketching and prototyping tools.Experience with design trends, benchmarking, forecasting and concept creation.Experience with leadership, project planning, scoping and execution in a phase-gate and/or agile environment.Facilitation and training of design thinking across business and technical teams.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Excellent collaboration and teamwork attitude.Familiarity with enterprise-level IoT ecosystems.Additional Information
