Director of Sales & Marketing

is responsible for revenue generation for the hotel through effective solicitation and management of all sales accounts for the hotel. Provide leadership to the sales manager and coordinator to ensure individual goals are met, proper prospecting and closing techniques are utilized to maximize account saturation and positively impact hotel revenues. Work in conjunction with the revenue management team to ensure maximum yield is achieved for the hotel.

Salary:

$90,000 to 95,000/year

Essential Requirements:Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with standards, scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming (per brand standards).Always comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Comply with certification requirements as applicable for position.Solicit assigned accounts to achieve or exceed budgeted rooms revenue and to improve performance in the marketplace. Lead team in effective selling techniques to ensure individual sales goals are achieved.Comply with attainment of individual goals.Make sales appointments and cold calls to consistently prospect accounts for all direct sales segments. Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies.Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours, and site inspections, etc.Implement special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e. sales blitzes, etc.Lead and participate in Daily/Weekly Sales Meeting.Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled.Be familiar with all hotel and sales policies and house rules.Ensure employees are always attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, other employees and managers.Attend monthly all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management.Meet and greet onsite contacts.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum 3+ years’ hotel sales leadership experience.2 to 4-year college degree helpful.High School diploma or equivalent required.Amazing Benefits!Paid holidays & paid sick time!Vacation time off!Education program
