Description:The Brandman Agency is growing and is now actively seeking an Account Director to support a number of high profile hospitality accounts in our New York office. This role will direct strategy and drive results on behalf of our global clients. Must possess a passion for travel and hospitality and encompass an intuitive, thoughtful approach. This candidate will have superior knowledge of the evolving media landscape and regularly contribute new ideas for placement opportunities. Responsibilities:- Directs daily activities for designated national and international travel and lifestyle accounts, delegating tasks on a day-to day basis- Promotes and maintains client satisfaction across the board, acting as the client point-person- Concepts and executes fully integrated strategic communications plans- Works with clients to uncover and satisfy business objectives, identifying opportunities to increase account growth and revenue- Crafts public relations strategies, developing presentations and action timelines- Manages account teams by effectively fostering teamwork, motivation and the production of polished client work- Assists with overall agency management and organization- Travels as needed for client initiatives or new business opportunities- Spearheads new business decks and participates in presentations- Understands and prioritizes the objectives of each client; anticipates needs in advance- Directs team to maintain robust and proactive account activity, using current PR plan as a framework and ensuring coverage efforts are on track- Develops and maintains solid relationships with journalists, bloggers and social media influencers and has a strong awareness of the content belonging to each- Oversees final approvals of meeting agendas, notes and reports- Assists with client relations through meetings, conference calls, events and general contact- Stays apprised of current industry news and trendsResearches potential partnership opportunities / arranges meetings with strategic partners (including, but not limited to, speaking engagement opportunities, brand endorsements, event hosting, etc.)- Maintains senior level relationships (client, media & marketing partner) and manages overall relationship building process- Works in tandem with agency VPs/SVPs in some cases, and in others, takes independent direction of accountsQualifications:- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree, currently reside in the greater New York City area, and legally authorized to work in the United States- Minimum of 7+ years travel & hospitality-related PR experience (agency and travel, lifestyle, and/or real estate preferred), with experience managing junior staff- Must be diplomatic and of the highest integrity- Maintains a strong track record in demonstrating creativity, with superior analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills- Must possess exceptional management and leadership proficienciesHas the ability to effectively multi-task /delegate assignments- Has experience in organizing and hosting domestic and international media trips- Has experience in organizing and hosting events (both large and small scale)- Brings extensive media contacts and media lists in travel, lifestyle, design and real estate- Brings knowledge of current events, trade shows and trends, specifically relating to the hospitality industry- Possesses the skill set and experience in order to play a fundamental role in creating proposals for potential clients, and securing new business and organic growth opportunities for the agency- Demonstrated ability to create strategic, world-class business proposals for a winning new client pitch- Proven track record successfully leading accounts and achieving quality media results- Ability to self-manage, show strong initiative, prioritize and decipher urgent items- Possesses an extreme attention to detail; is poised, solutions-oriented with a can-do attitude, creative, enjoys autonomy, and can work in a fast-paced environment- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communications skills with a strong attention to detail- Ability to guide clients on strategy and articulate ideas to garner results- Established media and influencer contacts in the design, travel and lifestyle press and has the skills to cultivate new relationships- Uses social media tools regularly and has experience integrating social media into public relations programs- Proficiency with MS Office and industry tools such as Meltwater, Muckrack, etc.Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Keynote is a plus but not a requirementSalary Range: $100,000-115,000, commensurate with experience. This is a hybrid-role, with three days in our New York office (Tuesdays-Thursdays) and two days remote (Mondays and Fridays).
