If your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.The American Chemical Society is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager who will become a key member of the Product Marketing Team. The role serves primarily as a marketing manager to support the Membership Department’s annual priorities and goals, but will also assist with other Product Marketing efforts as needed. The incumbent will work closely with the Sr. Marketing Manager to communicate the value and benefits of ACS membership to potential and existing members through a variety of channels and tactics.

Here’s what you will be doingThe Marketing Manager will be highly organized and an adept communicator, and will:Identify marketing strategies and tactics to support membership goals.Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to meet business unit goals, as well as drive awareness of ACS offerings that enhance the value of membership.Responsible for managing digital (e.g., social), email, and off-line (e.g., direct mail) campaigns, while exploring new potential channels.Work with subject matter experts, channel managers, and external vendors to reach target audiences with accurate and targeted messaging.Work with Membership to establish KPIs, track and analyze performance using marketing data, report on results, and make data-driven recommendations for current and future marketing campaigns.Manage multiple campaigns at a time and ensure that deadlines are being met.Manage and update marketing project timelines and marketing plans.Create and update tracking codes for marketing projects.Assist with presentations by gathering all relevant materials and resources.Position is responsible for assisting with managing the marketing budget associated with this effort.Other administrative marketing duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related fields and 3-5 years of related experience. Project management experience preferred. Must have knowledge of current and emerging marketing practices and principles. Ability to organize and carry out integrated marketing plans. Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to work within a team environment, and attention to detail required.

Experience with project management tools; experience with Eloqua email/marketing automation platform or similar system, Google and/or Adobe CRM and Analytics, PowerPoint/multi-media presentation development skills; experience using data and metrics to drive improvements and report on outcomes.

LocationThis position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. office. ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, three days per week. ACS employees are in the office on Tuesday and Wednesday with the third in-office day scheduled in consultation with the manager. While always welcome to work in the office, employees may work the other two days of the week from a location of their choice. New employees are immediately eligible for this hybrid work arrangement. ACS offers relocation assistance, if applicable.
