We’re looking for a Retention Marketing Coordinator to help produce the cult-favorite Huckberry Newsletter, which sends to our community of 1M+ 3x per week. Each newsletter is chock-full of the best gear, brands, content, and diversions on the globe that day. This person will act as an assistant Editor-in-Chief, ensuring the right product/story is represented in the right way through compelling copy, point of view, and A+ imagery. The ideal candidate is a total gear nerd, highly organized, and doesn't let details slip through the cracks.

The Retention Marketing Coordinator reports to the Retention Marketing Manager / eCommerce Department. This is a highly visible role, requiring regular communication with departments across the organization, as well as senior leadership.

This role is based out of our headquarters in Austin, TX; relocation support will be provided to a remote hire

Responsibilities

No day is the same–you will help manage the retention program end-to-end, from concept to deployment to performance analysis

Brief and lead a talented group of 6-8 designers in weekly cycles to produce 2 emails per week + 4 SMS per month. This includes merchandising, input on positioning, distilling feedback from stakeholders, and scheduling the campaign

Pull customer insights, data, seasonal merchandise, and personal perspective to influence product marketing that meet the moment

Work cross-functionally to ensure channel merchandising balances both company initiatives and customer wants/needs

Maintain communication with campaign managers and key stakeholders from planning to product launch

Work with Retention Marketing Manager to implement opportunities to A/B test for optimization and to deepen customer relationships

Identify and create systems/processes to that will improve launch strategy and cross-functional alignment

Requirements

2+ years experience in email marketing and/or digital merchandising

Extremely detail-oriented, with past project management experience a plus

Able to communicate clearly and effectively

Experience with ESP – Klaviyo, Bluecore and/or Attentive or other is a bonus

Comfortable with working with project management tools (Airtable a plus)

Google Suite (primarily Google Docs and Sheets)
