DCI’s products are valued for their durable design, ease of use and uncompromising commitment to customer service.We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our User Experience (UX) team. As a Product Designer at DCI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience across our range of products, including web applications, mobile apps, and embedded systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and deliver intuitive and fit-for-purpose experiences that enable our users to get their job done.What you'll do:Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and project requirements.Translate conceptual ideas into compelling design concepts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.Design user interfaces for web applications, mobile apps (iOS and Android), and embedded systems with a focus on usability in a high-distraction outdoor environment.Create pixel-perfect designs that adhere to our design system guidelines and design best practices.Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve the user experience.Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs, including providing assets and specifications.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).Proven experience (2-5 years) in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process.Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar. Figma highly preferredSolid understanding of human-computer interaction principles and UX best practices.Experience designing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.Familiarity with embedded design principles and constraints.Strong graphic design skills with an eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions.Self-motivated with a passion for innovation and creativity.

Base pay is reviewed at a minimum on an annual basis.Pay range:

$107,500 - $117,000

per year. To ensure equity, our compensation philosophy is to bring people into new roles in the range of the mid-point of that role. Factors considered for pay include the level of skill, experience, training, external market factors, and internal value.Profit sharing bonus: Over the last 3 years, quarterly bonuses ranged between 11% and 27%.
