This position is responsible for working with divisional leadership to develop communication programs that support external reputation development and business strategies as well as employee performance. This position will oversee all divisional internal and external communications that drive performance, enhance transparency, promote strategic business initiatives and support a positive culture. This position is responsible for maximizing efforts on behalf of all internal and external communication teams to influence key stakeholders. The communications director must ensure local and corporate assets are leveraged on behalf of state operations to drive a competitive advantage in the state market place. This position is responsible for aligning divisional business interests with enterprise marketing initiatives in newsletters, websites and social media networks. The position also oversees online reputation management of the division’s key executives. In addition, this position will supervise a multimedia studio and team that produces video content to support the division's communication imperatives. This position is also responsible for implementing new or expanded strategic initiatives. Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.Job Responsibilities:Direct all internal and external communications on behalf of the Office of the President within the Texas Division.Develop, implement, execute and measure internal influence strategies that support performance imperatives identified by the VP of Texas Plan Operations.Provide communication counsel and services to key stakeholders such as the Plan’s Affiliate Board, Texas Leadership, Texas Physician Advisory Council, Major Accounts Council, Executive Advisory Council, etc.Identify communication deficiencies that adversely impact Texas sales, network, legislative or business initiatives and matrix with enterprise resources to ensure needs are met.Supervise the division’s multimedia studio, staff and production schedule so strategic video communications can be leveraged to support the division’s goals.Oversee a divisional calendar that enables strategic alignment and risk management for external brand initiatives including, but not limited to media relations, executive speaking engagements, social media and community relations. Coordinate with all divisional communication teams on a regular basis to confirm that the calendar is updated.Aligning Texas business interests with enterprise marketing initiatives in shared communication mediums such as newsletters, websites and social media networks.Oversee online reputation management of the division’s key executives.Represent Texas leadership on the enterprise Online Reputation Management team.Ensure integrated action plans, statements, analyses and communications materials present a positive image of the brand to all its stakeholders across state.Required Job Qualifications:Bachelor degree plus 8 years of experience working at or with a major health care organization and leveraging various digital communication assets.5 years of management experience.5 years of experience working as a journalist or in a professional writing capacity.Experience developing and implementing multimedia communications.Experience leading cross divisional initiatives to accomplish strategic goals.Experience influencing the decision-making process.Experience interacting with executives at all levels and challenging clients.Strong writing skills.Public relations skills to respond to situations with political appropriateness and sensitivity.Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays.Experience with software application programs; such as Microsoft Office Suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and databases.Preferred Job Qualifications:Masters of Business Administration.Base Pay Range:
