What You'll Do Here

National Geographic Learning, a part of Cengage Learning, is hiring a Platform Marketing Manager to manage/support all aspects of marketing the teaching and learning platform that supports their programs for English learners of all ages.

For over ten years National Geographic Learning has been creating innovative learning programs through its partnership with National Geographic. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work with these materials.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, and working with our sales, marketing, and publishing teams in key markets worldwide, this position requires someone who can develop a deep understanding of the platform and use cases, build marketing plans and campaigns, work as a liaison between the platform development team and the market, and support the efforts of sales and marketing teams through training and excellent communication.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Works closely with cross-functional and regional colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies and campaigns to increase total digital users, Average Retail Price per Unit (ARPU), and Unique Monthly Active Users (UMAU) for the programs of which the platform is part.Responsible for rolling out new platform features, including the creation of customer-facing messaging and positioning in alignment with the value proposition and strategy.Communicates new platform functionality and features to internal collaborators using company communication channels.Creates and measures segmented in-platform and e-mail marketing campaigns that direct users to high-value features in the platform to increase trials, activations, usage, and renewals.Drives seasonal marketing plans for the platform, collaborating with the development, global, and regional marketing teams.Coordinates and delivers internal platform training using face-to-face, virtual, and self-access formats.Creates and maintains customer-facing tools for promotion and sales, including presentations, blog and webinar content, distributed marketing and information for websites and catalogs.Develops market knowledge to help shape product positioning and product development, including peer reviews, surveys, events, focus groups, and first-hand customer visits.Travels as needed for conferences, event marketing, sales meetings, in support of marketing initiatives.What You'll Need Here

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.Minimum of three years marketing experience, preferably in publishing or educational field.Strong organizational skills and proven ability to carry out a variety of tasks.Display initiative and flexibility, detail-oriented, and ability to effectively work on multiple projects at once.Possess critical abilities such as thinking strategically as well as tactically, to successfully prioritize tasks to ensure that all projects are on schedule.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of commonly used desktop tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.Experience creating and delivering presentations.At National Geographic Learning, a part of Cengage Group, we are enabling opportunity, powering progress, and supporting student journeys toward college and career. Base Pay Range

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
