Have you got the right qualifications and skills for this job Find out below, and hit apply to be considered.Reporting Relationship: Reports to Head of ContentStatus: Full-time (Exempt)Position SummaryThe Carolina Panthers Creative Director, Content will lead campaign planning and special projects on behalf of the content team, managing a team of creators to produce breakthrough work that capitalizes on tentpole moments for the organization. The Creative Director will lead the development of an agency-style production house, serving the internal video, photography, and animation needs of the broader content team, and the organization as a whole. The ideal candidate is an accomplished creative with demonstrated experience leading other creatives in a client-centric field, and is ready to build something new and exciting in-house as the Panthers embark on its next era of football in Charlotte.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead content campaign planning, working alongside the NFL and the Panthers Marketing Department to identify tentpole moments presenting the opportunity to deliver award-winning creativeLead the development of an internal creative-agency model, defining process, structure, standards, and more with the goal to establish a seamless process for organizational creative video, photo, and animation.Serve as the swiss-army-knives of the Content team, providing creative support and expertise according to the needs of the moment. Support the Social and Digital team, Digital Video team, Broadcast team, and Game Presentation team in creative video, photo, and animation development.Create processes to rise to the creative needs of other Panthers departments outside of the Content team, including: Partnerships, Community Relations, Ticketing, Stadium Operations, and more.Develop trusted freelance networks, with defined rate cards, and guide processes to produce content externally when in-house is not a strategic or viable option.Lead the development of a video style guide, standardizing animation styles, fonts, lower thirds, caption styles, and more to unify the brand expression of content projects.Serve as the Content team’s key conduit to the Brand Marketing, ensuring alignment around Brand priorities and applying Brand ethos into our video and animation style guides.Lead processes for translating Brand Style Guide into daily content applications across graphics, video, photo, and animation.Lead the Photography team, casting the vision for our photographic expression. Lead a full-time Team Photographer focused on daily football photo capture, ensuring the final product is both artistically resonate and serves the broader needs of the organization.Work with Team Photographer to lead the development of custom photo sets for key moments, such as free agent arrival, rookie photos, team production day, merchandise, marketing initiatives, and other opportunities for creative photo.Lead the department to serve as the primary Partnerships lead for the Content department for original partner content. Lead the ideation and production of custom branded video content according to the needs of various partners, driving revenue for the organization while upholding Panthers platform standards.Lead Manager, Creative Media to build a production model that supports the creative needs of players, providing creative media support that grows the Panthers brand through the brands of our players.Work with Manager, Creative Media to lead the production of custom video projects to support the business, including projects in support of new stadium development, ownership priorities, and executive team priorities.Work daily to establish a positive, accountable, selfless, and future-focused culture across the Content teamRecruit, hire, and develop future leaders within the Creative Content department, guiding the career development of all members of your teamCollaborate with leaders across the Content department to keep the Panthers on the leading edge of innovation within the Social and Digital spaceMinimum Qualifications10+ years in a hands-on creative production role, with 3+ years experience managing other creativesNotable experience in a client-centric business, preferably in an agency structureDemonstrated experience with effectively leading a teamHands on experience in either creative video, photo, animation, or graphic design.Understanding of Adobe creative environmentsAbility and desire to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays is a must.
