Our transaction expertise and leadership across a wide range of services including Transaction Opinions, Transaction Advisory Services, and Valuation inspire confidence in the financial executives, boards of directors, special committees, investors, and business owners we serve.Job Purpose:We are growing our Media, Sports, & Entertainment (MSE) team, which is a part of our Financial and Valuation Advisory Group, covering all of our valuation and financial opinion service lines for entertainment, music, sports, video games, casino gaming, media, broadcasting and publishing, among other sectors. Our clients run the gamut, from early-stage businesses and midsize companies to large, publicly traded corporations. We understand that an industry driven by innovation and change requires the sophistication of an advisor who can think ahead of the market and utilize solid industry relationships to drive value for clients.As a Senior Vice President, you will generate new business and manage client engagement teams, which range in size from two to five members. The group focuses on complex valuation and analysis related to MSE. This is an exciting opportunity to help build our practice and leverage the interconnectivity of our investment banking platform.Responsibilities & Deliverables:Serve as principal on client engagements and oversee client deliverablesManage day-to-day tasks and project management for client engagement teamsReview board and internal committee review presentationsDirect efforts of Vice Presidents, Associates, and Financial Analysts including review of valuation and other financial modelsLead sales, marketing, and business development initiativesMaintain a network with prospects to build a pipeline of revenue producing relationshipsNegotiate client engagement agreementsBuild complex financial models in excel to assess cash flows of a company and/or value specific securities specific to MSEPresent analyses and conclusions internally to review committees and externally to clients’ senior management, Board of Directors, and auditors/tax advisors to clientsLead client due diligence meetingsDevelop project approach, methodologies, and analytical frameworksPerform complex valuation projects utilizing methods including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analysisBasic Qualifications:10+ years of professional experience (with significant client business valuation responsibilities) at an investment bank, Big 4 accounting firm (in the valuation group), or a valuation firmDirect Media, Sports and Entertainment valuation experienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited institutionStrong knowledge of Excel modelingStrong knowledge of M&A, valuation, accounting, and applied financial theoryExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Current book of business with drive to grow on our platformPractical experience with financial opinions and valuations in the Media, Sports, & Entertainment industryExperience with investment banking, valuation firm and/or Big Four in valuation/transaction opinions in a leadership capacityExperience with project management and managing high performing teamsA proven track record of business development and building client relationshipsKnowledge of fairness and solvency opinions and purchase price allocationsMBA and other advanced degreesIntellectually curious and self-motivatedStrong analytical abilitiesExcellent understanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsAn exceptional work ethicSalary RangeHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:$180,000.00-$225,000.00
