GXM is seeking a proficient UX Designer with a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions to join our onsite technical team. This role could potentially offer a 4-day workweek, subject to considerations related to the client organization’s schedule.

This position may qualify for a 4-day workweek framework depending on client organization schedules.Requirements An Ideal Candidate Should:Have familiarity in user-centered design and human factors.Use task analysis and similar methods to understand, document, and develop creative workflows based on user requirements.Apply UI/UX expertise in support of translating workflows into user-friendly designs for digital systems and tools (experience in the DoD domain preferred).Have experience in creating design specification documents, style guides, low-fidelity wireframes, and high-fidelity design mockups.Work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and efficiently communicate user requirements and design specifications to designers and developers.Iterate quickly on design concepts as needed in each phase of the software engineering cycle (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment) based on user requirements.Have knowledge about, and be able to apply, current human factors UI/UX standards and best practices (including web accessibility) to the design of digital system interfaces.Have strong communication skills to interact with the team, end-users, and project stakeholders.Be able to lead end-user sessions to gather requirements and feedback on draft mockups.Be equally comfortable working collaboratively within a team and taking initiative to work independently when required.Be self-motivated and energetic.RequirementsMUST BE A US CITIZEN.MUST have an active Top-Secret clearance.Must be able to work on-site (Herndon, VA) 4-5 days a week.Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Provide a digital portfolio showcasing previous projects and design approach.At least three years in human factors, human system integration, UI/UX design, or related field.At least three years user-centered design experience.Experience with design tools, such as Adobe XD and Figma.Past work with 508 compliance activities on previous projects.Solid understanding and experience designing and developing for Accessibility (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508).Fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS.Experience with design systems (e.g., Material Design).
