Establish a New Vision : Use UX best practices to create a new and improved vision for underwriting tools that everyone can understand and support.Streamline Underwriting Process:

Make the underwriting process easier and more efficient, helping prioritize requests from brokers quickly.Collect Insights from Data:

Gather information to identify trends, problems, and opportunities, and design solutions using both structured and unstructured data.Design Decision Support Tools:

Create tools that help support decision-making within workflows that are focused on delivering value.Data Storytelling:

Use stories built from data to explain complex ideas and analytics, making it easier for people to understand and take action.Collaborate with Product Teams:

Work closely with product teams and partners to understand complex data relationships and improve our ability to serve customers better.What you need to be successful:

3-5+ years design experience and UX research in big data products and complex business processes.Designing in the risk management space (Financial Services or Insurance)Understanding both business needs and user experienceWorking cross-functionally to define/prioritize problems AND recommend solutionsDesign storytellingRunning design thinking workshopsAdvocate for design-led process and build bridges between different functions (e.g. product teams, engineering, technical writers, leadership, partners, services, etc.)Proven experience in planning, executing, and synthesizing research (both qualitative and quantitative)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDesign portfolio that demonstrates human-centered design process and business success. Portfolio may be online or a shareable PDFExperience with designing for finance, banking healthcare or insurance is a plusHow we work @ Guidewire

$133,000 - $199,000 a yearThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $133,000 - $199,000+ bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
