This person will work closely with the show’s Sr. Broadcast Producer in NY and the overnight production team to develop and craft the morning broadcast. The ideal candidate will have sharp editorial judgement, strong writing skills, managerial experience, and the ability to direct a team in a fast-paced news environment.What you’ll do Lead all aspects of production overnight including approval of packages & live segments, developing graphics, and overseeing the DC-based team.Collaborate with Senior Producer in DC and production teams in NY to ensure a clear, focused & forward-looking editorial vision.Launch on breaking news stories and coordinate with correspondents on scripting & elements.Pitch stories to help drive compelling and newsworthy segments.What you will need

8+ years of experience as a Senior Television News Producer at a major broadcast network, cable, or digital news company.Proven ability to make editorial decisions under time pressure and coordinate all aspects of production.Ability to recognize segments with a high potential of producing compelling television, with a deep knowledge of politics and current events.Excellent understanding of broadcast and video production.Strong writing, organizational, time-management, and planning skills.Must possess a driver’s license and be willing to drive.Must be able to work during overnight hours Sunday to Thursday, and an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONHiring Salary Range: $150,000.00 - 165,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
