Grapevine is looking for a passionate technical designer to join our Boston based team. As the lead UI/UX developer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing application design and front-end source code. You should be comfortable from the command line and have the chops to talk shop with engineers while also being passionate and capable of designing beautiful interfaces. Your role as the design lead will require you to conduct research, present findings, and ultimately make decisions that drive the user experience of our platform. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our users. Care deeply about making their lives easier.Work with the head of product to translate requirements into end-product design and functionality.Communicate effectively with our back-end team.Work to identify opportunities for improvement.Write clean, object-oriented, SASS.Understand marketplace design challenges and best practices.Required Skills:

4+ years working on large scale web applications.1-2 years designing mobile-first web applications.Expert using SASS and OOCSS.Solid experience working with jQuery.Basic exposure to at least one MVC framework.Understanding of version control (we use git).Bonus Points:

Previous experience working on Django applications.
