The Senior Manager, PR & Communications will report to the head of the marketing and PR department. This job is key to protecting and promoting the VVF (including our projects, venues, and initiatives). In addition to understanding the unique ‘brands’, this position will need to have an understanding of VVF as a whole, to drive high-funnel earned media placements, and communications and content across various platforms. This role, located in Eagle County, CO, is a vital member to VVF’s marketing team. The Senior Manager, PR & Communications will oversee the public relation efforts for the organization and will manage day-to-day efforts including, but not limited to: fulfillment of media requests, media list maintenance, building relationships with media and stakeholders, coverage tracking/reporting, media hosting, internal and external communications, and issues management/crisis communications.• Lead the VVF PR efforts across all projects
Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity• Work with managers to handle media inquiries• Pitch strategic stories, secure media opportunities, host visiting media and influencer, develop key messages, prepare spokespeople for interviews and serve as a liaison between VVF and media, build and maintain media relationships, participate in interviews, represent the VVF at PR events• Assist in developing a strategic communications plan that supports VVF’s objectives for a wide variety of stakeholders• Work with marketing managers on launch plans/timelines and disbursement of content to VVF website, social and email• Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships internally and externally with VVF business partners, media and the community• Develop media tools such as press releases, fact sheets, talking points and media kits• Manage and track PR initiatives; list management in Cision (PR platform)• Manage and be available for crisis communications as needed; including support of crisis comms for each large-scale events.• Manage PR & copywriting contractors• Copywriting & editing across various platforms• Websites, blogs, collateral, speeches, and other communications materials, Impact Newsletter, Capital Campaign• Ensure external communications have appropriate VVF brand messaging across all efforts.• Support and manage communications and video needs surrounding any history/anniversary items• Project management/execution: VVF annual report, Black Diamond Ball Fund-a-need video, Citizen of the Year video, Volunteer of the Year• Create and manage budgets for projects/tasks listed above• Support VVF Marketing and Communications Team across all projects and areas as necessary.Please send a cover letter, resume and references.
