If you want to know about the requirements for this role, read on for all the relevant information.COMPENSATION RANGE: 51,455.00 - 55,610.00 USD per yearEMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Professional AdministrativePOSITION SUMMARY: Provide scenic technical support to the School of Theatre Arts and Dance. Oversees the budgeting, manufacturing, installation, and personnel health and safety associated with all aspects of production for the School of Theatre and Dance, including the Little Theatre of the Rockies summer season.JOB DUTIES:Technical Direction: Budgeting, scheduling, construction, and installation of all scenic elements: 75%Safety oversight for all technical areas: 15%Supervision of student technical directors: 10%MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree: RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Theatre: PreferredMaster of Fine Arts in Technical Direction or Scene Design: PreferredA minimum of two years' experience in scenery construction, rigging systems, theatre project management, and budgeting in a collegiate or professional environment.Experience in using standard and specilized scenic carpentry tools including but not limited to CNC Router, CutAwl, Pneumatic tools, “Genie” lift, etc.Experience welding scenic structures.Experience with scenic automation.This person will be expected to gain and maintain Advanced CPR (especially Stop the Bleed) certifcation once in this position. Additionally, Fall Arrest training through the University will be required.
