A strategically important part of our charter is to drive adoption across a portfolio of self-service, cost per click advertising products to enable head to tail advertisers to engage with customers in relevant ways. As part of our growing US SMB Marketing team, we are looking for an experienced content marketer who is passionate about helping small businesses succeed on Amazon. In this role, you will lead content development for strategic events. You will be responsible for building and optimizing a content framework to drive consideration and adoption of ads via partnerships with creators, agencies, and other external partners, as well as directly owning content development for our most visible strategic events. You are excited about bringing business strategies to life through storytelling, using data, insights, and industry trends to deliver inspiring customer experiences, executed flawlessly. You seek to work autonomously, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously, and prioritizing accordingly to contribute to ambitious growth plans.

Key job responsibilities

Research: conduct customer research around preferred channels, tools, formats, and topics to inform content strategy

Strategy: formulate content marketing strategies and content development priorities across business goals and customer problems

Execution: develop event content across multiple formats, manage stakeholders from cross functional partners to speakers, and oversee PR approvals

Reporting: identify success metrics, measure the impact of your initiatives, gather feedback, and leverage insights to improve go-forward strategies

About the team

The global SMB (Small and Medium Businesses) marketing team serves sales unmanaged advertisers globally. Our mission is twofold: 1) Grow Amazon Ads awareness & consideration amongst SMBs globally 2) Drive Sponsored Ads demand for the self service (SSO) channel.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience in digital marketing, retail, or related fields

Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years experience in content marketing, including content development for strategic events

Experience testing new content marketing formats and reporting on results

Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions

Expertise in creator and/or partner marketing

Excellent communicator and storyteller with a passion for seeing small businesses succeed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
