Job Description

As a Senior Principal Product Manager, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in developing and executing an advanced platform that integrates connectivity management, device management, mobile device management, edge computing, and video/audio streaming capabilities. This individual contributor position requires deep technical expertise and a passion for building innovative products that address complex customer challenges. You will work cross-functionally across product management, strategy, and engineering execution, driving product development in a fast-paced, motivated organization.

This is a cross-functional role which spans across Technical Product management, product line management, strategy, and engineering execution management. You will be working and leading a team of the smartest people across several industries focused on developing our Enterprise Communications Platform (ECP) (https://www.oracle.com/industries/enterprise-communications-platform/) .

The design of this product is based on cross-functional collaboration and deep understanding of the customer’s needs. You’ll learn about our customers’ businesses and help to develop a product that will solve their most significant problems. Acting as the business owner for a key component initiative within the Communications Industry Unit you will drive requirement definition based on competitive analysis and customer needs.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborate across Oracle Industries and build long-lasting relationships inside and outside the business units.

Provide thought leadership, perform market analysis, develop business cases, demonstrate understanding of market trends, and execute GTM planning and product launches.

Develop and contribute to the long-term strategy and vision.

Ensure strategic components are aligned, communicated, and executed.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product management lifecycle and include deep interaction with multiple industry verticals, incl. other product management team, sales, and engineering.

Collaborate with product marketing and partner teams to support content creation, product positioning, pricing and drive Go-To-Market and product launches.

Own the full lifecycle of the product/service experience, gathering requirements, driving execution, pricing, deploying and operating the service.

Translate product vision and roadmap into development priorities and detailed requirements. Develop user flows and validate product experience with experienced UX designers.

Work closely with design team to turn product requirements into intuitive and simple user experiences.

Manage tradeoffs and prioritize development against business objectives, timelines, and available resources.

Drive and complete user testing along with UX team to validate products and experiences across several key stages of the project.

Define product success criteria, collect data, and measure success.

Responsibilities

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design, and implement major changes to existing software and hardware architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute tests and test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and engineering to ensure consistency, testability, and portability across products in general. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommend and justify major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10 or more years of product management, software engineering or related experience.

Qualifications:

You’re at home in all facets of a Product Management role and functions and should have delivered at least 1 major product implementation from ground up.

Present demonstrable experience in technology management areas, people management and presentation skills.

Demonstrate business acumen, with a bent for market analysis, business case development, go-to-market planning, and product launch expertise.

Experience as a Product Manager in successfully designing, building, launching, and promoting a new product.

Have a deep understanding of how different connectivity options (e.g. cellular, satellite), Edge Compute, Wifi/Mesh, Video and Audio Streaming and other Cloud capabilities can help to digitalize products across industry verticals like Healthcare, Construction Engineering, Utilities and Governments, and experience driving them to scale.

Strong sense of product/service ownership with a bias for execution and customer empathy. You care deeply about customer problems and user experience.

Collaborative team player, with strong communication skills, including the ability to translate sophisticated technical products and features into simple concepts.

Operate and think in terms of the business outcomes, end-user experience, and the underlying technology stack to drive those experiences and outcomes to successful conclusion even if the solution is for an industry that might not be your core industry expertise.

Passion for solving exciting technical/business problems and building enterprise products with intuitive user experience.

Ability to turn complex problems into simple and elegant user experiences.

Strategic thinker focused on building on a vision and not only features, yet you’re able to constantly balance this vision with short term execution and deliverables.

Have a strong attention to detail, get the little things right in addition to the big picture

Knowledge of IoT use cases and platform components, demonstrated experience defining associated value propositions.

Experience in one or more specific IoT / embedded / M2M industry (i.e. home automation, business automation, health, asset tracking, smart operations / utilities, etc.)

BS in Computer Science, Cloud Services, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

US: Hiring Range: from $114,500 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
