POSITION : Digital & Social Media Intern

Temporary Full-Time, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in a career in social media and content creation. Intern will observe, learn and develop skills necessary to explore career opportunities within the chosen field. Individual may qualify for college credit if allowed by their college/university. This position is an

unpaid

internship.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

Intern will learn and be exposed to:• Assisting with creating content as well as brainstorming ideas for Orange Bowl's website and social media platforms.• Work with supervisor to keep social media calendar and posting schedule up to date, allowing Orange Bowl to stay relevant and engaged in the digital & social marketplace.• Assist with development of content strategy across all social media platforms.• Assist with creation of graphics and video content for emails, social media and website.• Attend Orange Bowl events to capture photo/video.• Assist with monthly content input for Orange Bowl newsletters and publications.• Monitor industry standards to encourage new ideas.• Ensure that information posted on Orange Bowl's website, social media accounts and mobile app is consistently accurate at all times.• Assist with organization of photo galleries from all Orange Bowl events and publish in a timely manner.• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a degree and/or career in Marketing, Communications, Sport Management or other related fields.• Possesses functional knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software's.• Motivated, highly organized, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.• Ability to work nights and weekends when applicable.• Must be willing to travel locally to community events, production meetings and other Orange Bowl events. Out of town travel may be required at times.• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds

Note: Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20 hours per week consistent with academic demands/schedule.
