Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Mentorship :Deliver high-quality instruction in animation, including courses for both graduate and undergraduate students.Develop and implement engaging curriculum that addresses both foundational and advanced animation techniques.Mentor students, providing guidance on projects, career development, and professional growth.
Online Content Development:Collaborate with the CEA Graduate Dean to create and refine online content for the MFA certificate program.Ensure that online materials are pedagogically sound, innovative, and aligned with industry standards.Utilize your expertise to enhance the learning experience through virtual lectures, interactive modules, and other digital resources.
Guest Speaking Engagements:Represent Lipscomb University at engagements hosted by the Imagine House.Participate in panels, workshops, and presentations that showcase your expertise and contribute to the broader animation and film community.Foster relationships with industry professionals and potential collaborators through these engagements.
Professional Development & Collaboration:Stay current with industry trends and advancements in animation.Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance departmental initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.Engage in research or creative projects that enrich the academic environment and elevate the department’s profile.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Proven track record of professional achievements in animation, including but not limited to a portfolio of work, exhibitions, or industry recognition.Experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students.Strong skills in creating online educational content and familiarity with digital learning platforms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and engage with diverse audiences.A passion for mentoring and supporting students in their academic and professional journeys.
